In April Brian and I flew to Salt Lake for a quick trip to conference. We were able to stay the weekend with our friends, Scott and Cindi Watko and their family. We had a wonderful time! We went to the Conference Center for the Saturday morning session and Brian and his dad went to Priesthood session on Saturday night. We had dinner at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building with Brian's parents afterward. On Sunday morning we woke up to snow! What a treat for us! We ended up staying at the Watko's house and just watching conference there snuggled up on the couch. It was a great little trip and just what we needed to recharge our batteries!
For Easter weekend we went up to Eagar to be with the Neus family. It was a crazy weekend with all of the grandchildren there! Grandma and grandpa filled their garage with air mattresses and sleeping bags and most of the kids slept out there. The rest all slept on the floors and couches. We went up to Alpine for an Easter Egg Hunt and lunch on Saturday. It was really a lot of fun! We stopped at the candy shop on the way back to grandma's house for ice cream (and root beer candy for Brian). We also were able to visit with greatgrandma Jean in her new assisted living house in Eagar. She is having a hard time remembering things and it was time to bring her up to Eagar to be closer to Sue. She's been living on her own for forever - so it was difficult for her to leave her house on 44th Street in Phoenix. Anyway, it was good for the kids to visit with her. We had a great Easter and love being able to share it with our family!!
